The boys were a little bit out of sorts for their first game and were well beaten by New Milton. That seemed to fire them up a little and for the rest of their games they worked hard both in attack and defense.

The next game was a huge win against Fawley as they didn't show - I think they were just scared. Fordingbridge was a one try defeat, followed up by a convincing win over Andover. Our final pool game was a one try defeat to Trojans.

This set us up for a Shield semi-final against Eastleigh where, yet again, we lost by one try. A lot of effort was put in by all the boys and there were a number in tears at the end, mainly due to their commitment. We were proud of their efforts.
