We’re delighted to announce Dan Gamblin as the new Head Coach of Gosport and Fareham RFC 2nd XV ?
Dan steps into this role bringing decades of experience within the game, both as a player and as a coach. His long-standing involvement in rugby, combined with a strong understanding of team culture and player development, makes him an excellent fit to lead the 2nd XV.
Having spent many years on the pitch himself, Dan offers a player-focused approach, built on trust, hard work, and shared ambition. Known for his energy and enthusiasm, Dan is ready to bring renewed excitement to training sessions and match days. He will draw heavily on his own playing experiences to guide and support the squad, helping players develop their skills, confidence, and understanding of the game. His coaching philosophy centres on creating an environment where players are challenged, supported, and motivated to give their best for the team and the club.
Dan will continue to be supported by Aiden Wilkins and Paul Claridge, who have both been a fundamental part of the 2nd XV setup this season. Their dedication, knowledge, and consistency have played a key role in the team’s progress so far, and their continued involvement ensures valuable continuity as Dan takes on this new responsibility.
This appointment marks an exciting step forward for Gosport and Fareham RFC. With Dan leading the 2nd XV, supported by Aiden and Paul, the club is well placed to continue building a competitive, committed, and enjoyable environment for players at all levels.
Please join us in congratulating Dan on his new role and wishing the entire coaching team every success for the season ahead ??
