The Saxons continued their development of their fast moving aggressive game of Rugby.
Matt H brilliantly describes the tale:
The weather made for perfect rugby playing conditions and the Saxons didn't disappoint.
After the close quarter drills the Saxons separated into two competitive teams. Although it was a slow start, soon enough some crunching tackles were going in. Ben D and Conor were involved in two memorable altercations.
What was pleasing was the ripping. Will H, Alfie C and Callum demonstrated some good skills in this area. That alongside some fine handling skills displayed by Taylor shipping the ball on just at the right moment, at the breakdown, to create some space outside and keep the move going.
Harriet M's presentation of the rugby ball was perfect every time and enabled the " clearing out" and recycling of the ball to be easier.
Ed H made two barn storming runs, one of which got his team out of trouble when the opposition was camped on their line. Tom W,also made decisive runs into the opposition half which broke the defense down and enabled tries there after.
There were tries aplenty Josh, Freddie and Ben B, scoring a handful. Great to see Finlay G score a try but the best score was when Will R shouted for the ball after Ben B charged through a gap, Will R was in the space -and was released to score in the corner, the pass cutting out last opponent and doing the hard work.
A really good training session.
Well done Saxons, Chats, Matt and Ray
