A day that was going to be hard on everyone had a real team performance at the heart of it. With 10 a-side and only 19 players available to start off with it was going to be a struggle, injuries then reduced numbers further later in the day. The Ravens A Team started well when Harry Rabjohn broke Petersfield B's defence with an amazing run to score in the top corner giving the Ravens the lead. Petersfield came back strong after a half-time break however our defence proved unstoppable, keeping a clean slate. Strong defence and solid running saw George Smith and Finley Daly score to secure a 3-0 win.
The B Team took on a strong Portsmouth Junior A team and despite strong tackles from Harvey Jossup and Luke Downing Portsmouth won 6-0.
The A Team then took on Havant and rom the kick off Harry Rabjohn kept their score card turning over. He added a second and Joe Slaymaker, George Smith and Finley Daly ended off the 5-0 win.
William Hosell, our side line reporter, was doing a great job but he couldn't watch every game ... according to the players it was 8 -0 :-)
The B Team now playing a man short took to field and made a real battle of their game against Petersfield. After going 1-0 down early in the game to hung on in their with huge tackling by Luke Downing. Tom Ellis scored to level the game but they couldn't stop Petersfield scoring a winner.
In the game of the day the A Team battled with Petersfield A and it was late in the 2nd half that Petersfield snatched a win with a single try.
