The Ravens Muninn side seemed to be asleep for the first 15 minutes and were quickly 17-0 down as Winchester Warlocks who were giving them a lesson in retaining and winning the ball. They had support players who quickly secured the ball in the tackle. Heads went down and key players again went missing in action. Half time 22-0 to the visitors.
Ravens had stern talking to and substitutions were made off of the strong bench. 2 minutes into half and it looked like the Ravens might get back into the game as they began to dominate the rucks and Joe Wilkinson broke away for a ranging run to link with the backs and score after a great little interchange with Gregor House; Chris Denham converted. Inexperience showed as Ravens kicked 22m drop outs back to the visitors when they could easily have retained possession with a quick short kick. Wayward kicking gave the visitors strong players chances to run back and they were soon scoring again. Final score 34-7.
Gregor House was nominated Man of the Match by the visitors for his all round game first at scrum half and then at full back, second only to Bailey Starkey in the tackle count. William Hosell completed a whole game and carried well on several occasions with a strong contribution at the rucks in a good show of form. Ed Bell and Sam Rushent steadied the forwards when they came off the bench.
