Saxons Join E&R for great day of rugby

The Saxons visited E&R and provided players to even up the sides and allow a good game of rugby to take place. Both teams were competitive, with the E&R Barbarians gelling as a team and providing good attack and defence, with the Saxons having to work hard to win through.

12 of the 13 tries in the match were scored by Saxons, with Ben Brooker (3) and James Diamond (4) notable for scoring for both sides! Harry Bicknell added another pair of tries and it was really good to see Andrew Gamble cross to score his deserved try, showing his class in training. Rob Henderson and James Taylor finished the scoring, with Jame Stephenson converting three of the tries.

This was a strong performance from the Saxons, but what was most pleasing was there willingness to join E&R, play great rugby with them and make it a great day of rugby. Well done Saxons
