Ravens pack dominated the first 6 minutes of play with strong scrummaging and rucking. Domination gave possession and lock Euan Archbold crashed over for the first try, the kick was missed so a 5 point lead. Another 4 minutes of forward domination and prop Samuel Rushent touched down to stretch Ravens lead to 10 points. New Milton were shaken but not out of the game and began to move the ball away from forward play. On 21 minutes they scored under the posts and converted to give a half time score of 10-7 to Ravens.
Again Ravens started in dominant possession and a series of phases lead to a back line attack that saw winger Connor Cox go in at the corner, 15-7 to Ravens. 10 minutes of play saw great attack and defence from both sides, although Ravens squander some possession with wayward kicks. Then a moment of individual skill as the New Milton fly half kick over the pressing defensive line and gathered to touch down under the posts; 15-14 and the game was still in the balance. Ravens forwards got back in the game and driving runs by centre Tom Ellis and full back Harry Rabjohn got Ravens on the front foot again. Flanker Johnny Lewis scrambled in and Aidan Jarvis converted to give Ravens a bit of breathing room at 22-14 but New Milton kept playing. It wasn't until the final minutes that Sam Rushent went over for his second to close out the game and Aidan again converted; final score 29-14 to Ravens.
