Gospost Host the County Champions

Gosport hosted the County Champions Vectis for their first Home game of the season. After a good start by Vectis with a try in the first 5 mins, Gosport started to open up and match Vectis in the game. With two try's of their own through Leyton Chambers and Ishak Welsh, both converted by Sam G. Just before half time Vectis scored another try. Half time score Gosport 14 - Vectis 12.
Second half showed no let up in the play with both sides giving their all. Gosport starting the stronger with a try by Layton Chambers and converted by Sam G.
Vectis though never gave up and their experienced back line came good in the end to score 3 unanswered tries. Final score was Gos 21- Vectis 35. King of the mountain Ishak Walsh, King of the molehill Max Plummer.
