The under 15s A team took to the road again this week, this time down to a gloriously sunny & warm Bournemouth. This was the first time the two have met since the under 9s when Bournemouth trounced Gosport & Fareham. Bournemouth are traditionally a strong club with their senior side playing in National division 2 & their under 15s being regular contenders for the Dorset county cup so the Gosport & Fareham lads were under no illusions about the level of skill they'd be facing. Sure enough, the match lived up to all expectations with both teams showing no small amount of skill, determination & grit. The large spectator crowd were treated to a real rugby feast with slick handling, tough tackling & overall a really competitive outing. The game was always close & either team could have taken the win but in the end, Gosport lads won out at 17 points to 7, outscoring the hosts 3 tries to 1.
A much better display than the rather rusty outing last week with all 18 players having a good run. The man of the match award went to Stevie Cheatle for a much improved match this week with Wally of the week award going to George Crouch for injuring his own prop!!!
