By popular demand (1 person) the match reports will continue into the 2014 -2015 season. For all those who are new to the colts, welcome. Ok on a very lovely sunny afternoon we all ventured over to our old friends Portsmouth. I particularly like to remember these early sunny matches because very soon we will be standing in the wind and rain. The match was split into 25 minute thirds. Portsmouth kicked off the first third and I spent most of that third talking about moving house so missed quite a bit. However our new captain Kieran laid out his stall and took the first try. A Portsmouth player then sustained an injury (we wish him well) which resulted in a pitch change. It was not long until Georgie firth went over for the second (I do not usually call him Georgie but I am trying it out). The second third featured mainly the newer colts and 3 more tries followed from Jack E, and debut tries from Reece and Tim as well as 1 try from Portsmouth. During the final third I had a change of scenery and swapped to the other side of the pitch. There was to be no further score, I don’t think it had anything to do with me moving but you never know. Any way final score Gos 25 Portsmouth 7. Attendance - a scattering of home supporters and about 30 away supporters with 3 dogs.
