Get fit & ready for a full U14s season!

With only 2 weekends of rugby left this season, we'll all be looking forward to a well earned rest for a while ...but ... we've got a flying start to the U14s season with lots of early fixtures already confirmed.

So, to make sure none of us have a chance to forget how to play rugby, we'll be starting our pre season training preparations towards the end of July on Wednesday evenings.

Why July? Well, clearly over the summer there will be times when people are away on holiday so attendance isn't expected to be 100%, but if we start training again just before the lads break up for school, we can hopefully catch a few lads who might be thinking of starting with us in September. So make sure you keep speaking to your friends at school who might want to come to us for the first time, or who might want to return after a break from rugby.

Why a Wednesday? Why not Sunday? Why not both?
Well, possibly a bit of selfishness here, but with us finishing in May & starting in July, there are only about 10 weekends completely free .... 8 of mine have already been booked in & I'm sure it's the same for many other people. We've decided to try to keep the weekends free over the summer to let players, families & coaches have some time to get properly ready for the new season.

What will we do? - We'll be working on fitness, core skills & ball handling, so make sure you come along if you are not away on hols or you'll be slow out of the blocks in September.

With early fixtures in September, it would be wise to make sure you get all your registrations in as early as possible for the new season as well so we can be sure we have enough players to field at least 2 teams
