Following a successful pre-season trial match away to Fareham Heathens, Gos head across to Solent to face Sandown & Shanklin RFC in the Hampshire Cup.

In addition to the opportunity for the club to progress in the competition, the match gives much needed game time to help prepare for the start of the 2019/20 season.

The coaching team is looking at future team selections and developing new and exciting combinations and this match will give a great chance to see the players in a fully competitive match.

Although the fixture is on the Isle of Wight, it's a straight forward venue to get to. Simply use the catamaran from Portsmouth Harbour to Ryde and then the train around towards Shanklin (although you need to get off at Sandown beforehand and then it's a short walk to the ground) so - if you fancy a trip "abroad" for the afternoon, come along in support.
