The funeral of Richard Counter will take place on Friday 28th February (12.30pm) at Portchester Crematorium and after in the Gosport & Fareham Clubhouse (Dolphin Crescent, Gosport PO12 2HE).

Richard, a club member since 1983 when he moved to Gosport to live, coached the Club's Colts' section working with Ted Daly in the mid 80s.

His love of rugby started as a pupil at Newton Abbot Grammar School. He also coached the St. Vincent College team for many years.

Richard died at home suddenly on 2nd February.

There are to be no flowers but donations can be made to the RFU Injured Players' Foundation or the British Heart Foundation
