It was a fabulous day for rugby and after the very respectfully Remembrance Day Stand To the two teams faced off and the GFRFC Ravens kicked off. After each side tested each others defence finally Euan Archbold crashed over for the first try from a quickly taken penalty. Harry Rabjohn converted, his first of 5 for the day, and established the 7-0 lead. Ravens got into their game pattern of determined forward drives interspersed with backs try to find away round on the wings. Portsmouth Stingers weren't allowed to settle into their game and soon Ben Wheeler added a brace of tries. Mistakes and penalties by Ravens allowed the opposition to regain their composure and it wasn't until the 25th minute that Ben Wheeler added another try to make the half time score 26-0 to Ravens.
Ravens quickly got into their stride in the second half with a try scored by Harry Rabjohn from a well worked Fly Half Inside Centre switch. 4 minutes later Euan Archbold crashed in for another for his second to close the game at 40-0 to GFRFC Ravens.
Coaches agreed to play on and Ravens relaxed taking their concentration out of the game. Stingers pounced and quickly scored two tries before Ravens pulled themselves together again and Ben Wheeler added his 4th and 5th tries of the day, the last of which was converted by Aidan Jarvis.
Final score 52-12.
