Fordingbridge and Overton (Fordington) have struggled for players and have brought together a combined U14's side. They've struggled all season against sides that don't put out a genuine B Team to give there development squad a fair game. They came into the game thinking they were in for another beating but the game was even in the first half despite Gosport going ahead with tries from William Hosell, Shuan Bland and Jonnie Lewis; Aidan Jarvis converted two to give a score line of 19 - 5 to the Ravens Muninn side.
Second half and the Fordington boys realised they were still in the game and began to play a more joined up game. The Gosport side seemed to have decided their days work was done and began to avoid tackles and let others do the work. Support play vanished and they let the opposition run in 4 tries before they realised what was happening. Fordington got back to 29 - 19 to lead and their heads rose higher and the chest came out. Substitutions made and a Tom Ellis touchdown with Aidan converting put the score at 26-29 to the visitors with 3 minutes to hold out. Gosport substituted to strengthen the side but couldn't find a way through the determined defence of Fordington who held out for a well deserved win.
