Sunday saw a very good turnout for training, especially given the weather forecast for the day. There was an abundance of grim determination shown to make it through the training session and match without one word of "I'm cold, I'm wet, I want to go home". And that was just from the parents. The pre planned training had to be dropped in favour of an off the cuff session which kept the kids moving, engaged, enjoying it and as warm as was possible for the conditions. As you can see from the photo at the end of the session, those who attended seemed to have a ball. But joking aside about the parents, it was a credit to see them all stick to the sideline and support the players when it would have been too easy to retreat to the clubhouse for a chat and a drink. It really does show the support, commitment and strength that the Vikings squad has from players and parents alike.
