Good morning all
I'm just about to call the match off with Portsmouth for the weekend. We've been running around trying to find somewhere to play but have drawn a blank.
However, we are desperate to continue with training for both squads as we've got 2 cup matches coming up in the next 2 weeks so please keep watching pitchero, mail & Facebook for updates. It's a dead cert that we won't be able to train at Gosport Park so we're looking at alternatives. Richie has scouted around last night & everywhere looks pretty boggy.
We're going to have another look in the short window we have during daylight on Saturday to pinpoint a patch of suitable ground. We're mindful that many of the lads who are close to Gosport Park cycle to training these days so ideally we're looking for somewhere reasonably local. At the momenyt we're looking for Stoke's Bay, Lee-On-Solent, Walpole Park ...anywhere in that triangle really. If anyone knows of a reasonably decent condition area that we can finalise Saturday lunchtime please let us know so we can save ourselves some time & effort.
