A New Season, A New League and a New Team

I know we have the quality players to do well this season
- George Hillan (head coach)

Gosport & Fareham are looking forward to the new challenge which lies ahead of them in the 2019/2020 season after dropping to London South Division 3.

This season the team will be led by Aidan Price who is looking to build on all the positive elements achieved from the previous campaign.

The team has used the off and pre-season to strip everything back to basics and re-build. Pre-season has gone well and the players have bonded well together both on and off the pitch. Numbers have been good throughout and this has made selection hard for the coaching staff. Regular supporters of the team will certainly be seeing some new faces lining up in the blue & gold.

“This is the second year of our three-year plan where we are looking to develop players. Starting in this division has allowed the team to consolidate and regroup and I know we have the quality players to do well this season” – George Hillan (Head Coach)

Whilst the 2nd XV start their season with an away trip to Overton, the 1st XV’s first league match is at home against Old Tiffinians and the aim for Saturday is to continue their winning start to the season following their Hampshire Cup win on the Isle of Wight and turn Gosport Park into a fortress once again.
