Nice early start for the team!

It was an early start for the team when we all meet up at 6:45! Some of the boys did not know that 6:45 am existed. We had arranged a trip up to Reading for a coaching season with London Irish before we got to watch the game against Tigers.

We all pilled into two mini buses and a couple of cars to make the journey up to Reading. Thanks to a Sat Nav error and not driver we got to do a bit of unscheduled site seeing tour.

We got to Leighton school before 8:30 to be greeted by three coaches from London Irish. The team were all ready for the off so we started the training session early. The training lasted over two hours with the team taking on board all that the coaches had to offer. A few quick pictures at the end of training in front of the pavilion and a quick (sort of) change into warm track suites and match kit tops and all back into the mini buses for a short journey to the Majeski stadium.

After a quick bite to eat on the way and also in the car park, it was off to the club shop to pick up some bargains or just a bit of window shopping. There was a game set up at the front which tested the passing abilities of the boys and some Dad's (Chris). Before we went off to the hospitality entrance to meet up with Ian Gough (Welsh international) for a half hour QnA, before flags dished out and a quick walk through the stadium on to the pitch.

The boys looked very smart in the match tops waving their flags to give the players a guard of honour. One of the coaches was very pleased to see up close his Tiger players and even had a go with the smelling salt, before we were escorted back to our seats for the match. The boys then slipped into their onesies to get comfortable to watch the game.

Our seats were right on the edge of the pitch so we felt like we were nearly playing the game and could feel every tackle
made.

The result was not what the London Irish supports would have liked due to a last minute try being disallowed. However a few of the boys thought it was the right result for their teams (we will leave them behind next time)! A few more pictures in the stadium before we all headed back into the buses for the drive back home. A few fingers crossed that the boys would be tired and we mite get a quiet drive home. No luck there either.

We got back to the club all in one peace. I am reliably informed from most parents that the boys were tired and that they had an early night.
