Belated Match Report - Havant EP

Well RAVENS - what can I say, some really great play, strong defence and lots of tries. Each and every one of you played your socks, it was hot, very dusty and the ground was really hard. Not good playing conditions none of you backed off tackling despite the dry hard desert you played on. Well Done!

We won our first match - YES WE WON OUR FIRST MATCH - HISTORY IN THE MAKING FOR RAVENS!
We played Havant - 7-0 Tries by Huw and Harry Rabjohn and 5 by Kye

We won our second match against Andover (watch out this sunday they will be up for matching us!)6-2

Tries by Callum and Finlay and 4 by Kye

Unfortunately it went downhill for us, we lost the next 2 matches:(

Trojans - 4-3 - Tries by Huw, Jack and Finlay
New Milton - 4-3 Tries by Luke and 2 to Kye.

So at the end of Pool A the points were:
Pool A ended
1st Trojans (Points 3.5)
2nd Andover (Points 2.5)
3rd Gosport & Fareham (On Try Difference) (Points 2)
4th New Milton (Points 2)
5th Havant (Points 0)

Pool B ended
1st Basingstoke (Points 3)
2nd Wimborne (On Try Difference) (Points 1.5)
3rd Winchester (Points 1.5)
4th Fareham Heathens (Points 0)

So Final the 1st Places played each other and Plate the 2nds played each other

Technically we should have played Winchester and New Milton v Fareham Heathens.

We played Fareham Heathens and won 6:2. What a geat game. William scored a try and Kye 5.

We came fifth overall, I know some of the squad were upset by this, but we really played some excellent rugby, I honestly couldn't have asked for more effort from each of you. I don't want the team to be disheartened by the result we had 3 very strong wins and lost 2 games which frankly were very close
