Spartans at the gate!

With only 18 players available for this Half Term trip out of county it was always going to be a big ask for Ravens to step up to 15 a side full pitch rugby. The 18 undertook to play all 40 of the Newbury players by committing to 4 x 15 minute sessions. At half time it was 5-0, but then the A Team came on and ran away with the game. The coaches kept Ravens focused to treat it as a tackling session and to grab a consolation try which they did when Ben Wheeler crashed over. Bruised shoulders for many of the team after the game, but despite the score line they should feel proud of their efforts.
