Ravens (U13) Secure Cup 1st Round Game

GFRFC Ravens were unseeded for Hants U13 Cup and therefore had to qualify for the Cup competition with a Preliminary Round game against Tottonians II. They dominated from the start but failed to finish a couple of opportunities and turned ball over on side lines too often. Harry Rabjohn touched down for first of 4 tries before he was substituted and Ravens built a 4-0 lead. Coaching staff took the opportunity to play a couple of players in other positions and supporters had a stressful 10 minutes as Totts got back into the game and scored 2 tries as tackles were missed. Then bench was thrown on and Tom Ellis steadied the ship with 2 tries. Gregor House closed it out with a great individual break to score the 7th try.
Olly Webb at scrum half and Huw Bones at hooker showed that squad is developing depth. Jo Wilkinson put in some great tackles and stabilized the scrum at No.8.
So next Ravens face a much tougher challenge against Farnborough I on 15th November.
