Gosport U14's welcomed the touring team from Princethorpe School near Rugby in the Midlands. The visitors provided a tough encounter, but early on Callum scored his first try of the season bursting through after 4 minutes. After some sustained pressure on their opponents 22, the ball was worked out to Louie who drove down the right flank for a quickfire try.
The start to the second half was marked with a stunning try, Joe Grimm collecting form the kick off and running with power and pace to score a fantastic try. Princethorpe began exerting presuure leading to a try and conversion a few minutes later, and a tough battle led to the use of rolling replacements, of note Ben Bryant did sterling work on the left flank. A fantastic tackle by Rosie led to Gosport passing the ball out wide to Jaff to score and extend the lead to 20-7, followed up by a typically well crafted try from Ben S and a well delivered conversion from Josh in the swirling wind. Once again all the lads played well as a unit against a visiting team that had obviously talented so well done to all for the victory.
