With a few players missing, Gos continued the practice of rotating players in & out of the squads to help development.
This time new player Ben Hudson stepped into the tighthead role, replacing Chris Wallis who is recovering from an operation. Ben did himself proud & for a lad who's only started playing rugby this season, to step up to this level against fellow county quarter finalists Overton was no mean feat.
With the luxury of a strong start to the match, the team took an opportunity to swap things around in the 2nd half with most playing in unfamiliar positions to gain experience & learn to appreciate nuances of the game from a fresh perspective. With an end result of 36 - 10 it sets the team up well for their quarter final match in a few weeks time. Next week sees a rare home match v Winchester but with some players still out injured & the country trials, the teams for both of next week's games will be mixed up.
