Injury hit Ravens were resting a number of players but were still looking to turn around their last minute defeat by Eastleigh Pirates in this fixture last season. It took eleven minutes for either side to make a break through and it was the Pirates that scored first and converted. Ravens came straight back and Prop Harry Freeman, coaches player of the game, crashed over for a try on the short side of a ruck. The game settled again but Ravens were dominant. Handling errors were making it hard work but the kept at it and No.8 Ed Bell went over from a quick penalty taken 8 metres out. on 3o minutes Connor Cox scampered over for a well deserved try from some good phases of play by Ravens. With no conversions the half time score was 15-7 so both sides knew they could still win it.

Ravens came out firing from the kick off and after winning the kick chase worked their way to the top left corner and Flanker Joe Wilkinson picked and drove over from a ruck 3 metres out. Ravens made several changes and it took a while to settle in to their patterns but 20 minutes into the half Ed Bell touched down his second. Eastleigh didn't give up and pinned Ravens back, the penalty count mounted against them and Ed Bell was yellow carded. From the resulting penalty Eastleigh crashed over to take the score to 25-12. Down to 14 players Ravens dug in and held out. Clear to see why Eastleigh are undefeated and top of Division 3 in the JTL Fire HRFU U16 Leagues.
Tyler Jolly was recognised as Ravens Player of the Day by Eastleigh.
