Eastleigh dominate but Rvaens close it out with a win in final session.

We've all had a good run out today and the final score doesn't really matter. We got to play some fun rugby .
- Eastleigh Captain.
Gosport & Fareham RFC U15s, the Ravens, welcomed Eastleigh U15s to Gosport Park. Both clubs are in good shape with 28 players present for both sides. Coaches agreed to play three halves to give all players present an opportunity to take to field.
Eastleigh started well and absolutely dominated the first session and quickly racked up four tries and a conversion before Ed Murtagh scored his first try for the Ravens. Eastleigh's big runners shook off tackles and 22 points in a twenty-five minute session was a good score rate.
Ravens strengthened their team and in the second session the game was far more balanced game and Ravens heads were raised by a try from George Smith. Eastleigh were not out of it and replied with two more tries and a conversion to take the score to 34 - 10 at the end of the second session.
A number of Ravens players had been warming up running some drills and were now put on the field in a significant change of the back line and a strengthening of the forwards back row. Euan Archibald and Sam Rushent changed the dynamics of the rucks and mauls. The back line quickly had an impact with tries by centre Tom Ellis and full back Harry Rabjohn (4), with conversions added to give Ravens a 29 point session and steal the game 39 - 34.
A good mornings rugby for the many parents along the touchline.
