His funeral and memorial service will be held in Gosport on 10th January. You are very welcome to join us at 1400 in St Mary’s Church Alverstoke . As a strong committed Christian he requested his male friends "no black ties - just happy ties” for the service to commemorate his life. I regret we will have to make attendance at the Crematorium “by invitation only” for very close friends.

You may see in the press it is “No flowers please but donations to Christian Concern in his memory” . They are at 70 Wimpole St London W1G 8AX or via the Funeral directors- Solent Funeral Services . An opportunity to make a suitable donation will also be available on the day.

Please tell your circle of friends who would wish to be advised of this service. After the service, which we expect to be very well attended by his many many friends, refreshments will be offered locally but I would be more than grateful if you can tell us if you propose to stay after the service. The church can seat many hundreds so space is not an issue - we will just need to know if you will be able to stay with us after the service so adequate catering arrangements can be made.
