bonus point win lifts Gos from the foot of the table

Gosport and Fareham moved off the bottom of the table with a 27-22 victory at home to Old Cranleighan.

It was Gosport's first bonus point win of the season and it came about after Gos flew out of the starting blocks from the first whistle.

Trys from Wesley Dugan, Callum Fraser and a brace from Shaun Taylor secured the bonus point in the first half.

The second half was far less in Gosport's favour. With the wind in their faces they struggled for territory and had to rely on their dogged defense to keep the opposition out.

One final try from Sean Shepherd late in the game though confirmed the victory for Gos.
