Gosport & Fareham RFC were well represented at the inaugural Rugby Against Cancer charity event at Clarence Parade Rugby Pitch, Southsea today.
On a baking hot day, not only were Gosport players involved in the main match, but the mini youth were excellent in providing the guard of honour before the game.
There were also a number of tag rugby games preceding the main event which gave the opportunity for a number of younger players to pit themselves against ex Gosport & Fareham and current Premiership Bristol Bears player Joe Batley.
A great day was had by all and the Graham "Sid" Street Select XV were the winners of the main match but judging by the numbers who were there to support the event, it was Rugby Against Cancer that was the winner on the day.
Congratulations to all involved.
